Pick the Right Products

Before you turn your twists into a twist-out be sure to begin with products that provide some type of hold. Look for a moisturizing, alcohol-free formula with a medium to firm hold. Many gels and puddings offer moisture and hold, but if you can’t find one that works for you, you can always combine products.

·      Eco Styler Gel
·      Flaxseed Gel

Size Matters

In this case, smaller is better. Smaller twists will give you more of a defined look and will take the hair longer to expand throughout the day. It may take longer but the results will be bomb!

Twist-Outs Take Time

The longer you leave your twists in, the longer your twist-out will last.  If you normally set your style  try setting your style overnight or even a couple of days. If you just don’t have time, set your style with a hooded dryer for fast results.

Preservation is Key

Be sure to preserve your style by pineappling or retwisting your hair before bed. Be sure to use a silk bonnet, scarf or pillowcase to lessen frizz. In the morning, before take down, a spritz of water will help refresh and moisturize your twist-out.
